Meet the herd and learn about their breed

 Vesta is a registered Guernsey with a personality as bold as her name. She joined our farm in April 2026, traveling all the way from a commercial dairy in Wisconsin alongside her best friend, Candy.

FUN FACT: Guernsey cows are known for producing rich, golden-colored milk thanks to their high beta-carotene content 🥛✨

 Candy Cane is a registered Guernsey who joined our farm in April 2026 after making the long journey from a commercial dairy in Wisconsin alongside her friend, Vesta. Not long after arriving in Alaska, she welcomed her beautiful heifer calf, Peppermint Patty, making her one of the first Guernsey moms on our farm.

FUN FACT: Guernsey cows are often called the "Royal Breed" because of their gentle personalities, beautiful fawn-and-white coloring, and rich, creamy golden milk. 💛

 Coco is our beautiful Brown Swiss–Holstein cross who brings the best of both breeds to our herd. She's a calm, dependable girl with a sweet personality and is always ready to make her way into the milking room. Coco is a wonderful producer and an important part of our dairy family.

FUN FACT:  Brown Swiss × Holstein crosses are often called the "best of both worlds" because they combine the Holstein's high milk production with the Brown Swiss's rich milk components, strong feet and legs, and long productive life. 🐄🥛 

Daisy-May is a 4-year-old polled Holstein.  Daisy birthed her first calf Porter right here on our farm in April 2024. Daisy had her second calf Treat in November of 2025. Daisy's cream makes the best Raw sour cream!

FUN FACT: Holsteins are most commonly black and white but can also be red and white. 

Honey is a 5-year-old Pure breed A2/A2 Brown Swiss. Honey is our largest cow but the biggest scaredy cat. Honey is due to ring in the new year with a calf.

FUN FACT: Brown Swiss has an ideal fat to protein ration which is great for cheese making!

 Sugar is one of our Holsteins and definitely the bossiest of the barn! She has a big personality and isn't afraid to let everyone know she wants to be in charge. Along with being bossy, she's also one of our top milk producers and consistently keeps the milk room busy.

FUN FACT: Sugar is A2/A2, meaning she naturally produces only the A2 type of beta-casein protein in her milk. Many people who seek out A2 milk choose it because they find it easier to digest than milk containing both A1 and A2 proteins. 🥛🖤🤍

Leche is a 4ish year-old Holstein. Leche is the newest addition to our farm in December 2024. Leche's was bred back and calved Heidi who moved to Wasilla to be a future raw milk dairy cow.

FUN FACT: Holstein cows produce more pounds of milk than any other dairy breed.
